Executive Director
David Dunham serves as the Executive director of Recreation and Athletics overseeing all recreation and athletic programs and facilities. In this capacity, David provides oversight and leadership to all athletic operations and student recreation programs including the Joseph Edward Gallo Recreation and Wellness Center, the Student Activities and Athletics Center, and Bobcat Field. Before joining UC Merced in 2005, he worked in the athletic department at UC Davis for seven years managing club sports and recreation facilities. Dunham received his bachelor's degree in education with an emphasis in sport management from the University of Texas, Austin, and a master's in higher education from Texas State University. In his free time, he is an internationally rated women’s lacrosse official and enjoys outdoor activities and traveling.
