Student Response Team
PURPOSE:
The Student Response Team develops and implements programs and services for students that are designed to address issues related to student mental health and student safety.
The Student Response Team develops appropriate response protocols to address critical incidents that affect a student or students.
The Student Response Team, on a case-by-case basis, coordinates the University’s resources to address issues associated with distressing behavior and develops appropriate intervention for students brought to the attention of the Team.
RESPONSE PROTOCOLS:
Effective the spring 2007 semester, Critical Incident Response Protocols were instituted for:
- Assault or Homicidal Threat Involving a Student
- Death of a Student
- Emotional Crisis Involving a Student
- Medical Emergency Involving a Student
- Sexual Assault
- Student Disruptive Behavior
- Illness or Death of a Student’s Parent or Relative
- Threat or Attempt of Suicide
- Stalking Behavior
