In celebration of national Hispanic heritage month, the division of student affairs welcomes Dr. Linda Prieto to UC Merced to share an interactive and engaging dialogue on:
 
·       What does it mean to be intentionally inclusive?
·       What does it mean to be an enlightened educator?
·       How do I, through my own work or in collaboration with others, positively impact the recruitment and retention of Latin@ students at UC Merced?
 
Dr. Linda Prieto grew up working in the agricultural fields of the central San Joaquin Valley in California. She earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction and a Graduate Portfolio in Mexican American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin; a Master of Education in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard University; and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Stanford University.
