The Scholar Transformational Impact Fund is made possible by the generous gift of the MacKenzie Scott and Dan Jewett Foundation. The spirit of the gift was to facilitate a transformational impact at UC Merced that aligns with the campus’ strategic plan and principles of community.
The goal of the Impact Fund is to allow campus community members (student groups, recognized student organizations, or university departments/units) to submit proposals that would facilitate that impact. A total of $250,000 will be allocated annually over a four-year period. Multi-year proposals will be considered.
To be eligible, proposals need to include:
- A brief description of the proposal, including a timeline
- Evidence of consultation with students for input, with letters of support, strongly encouraged
- A clear plan on how the impact of the gift will be measured
- A budget that reflects the intended use of funds
Submission Timeline: Proposals must be submitted by October 15th of each year. Successful applicants will be notified by November 30th.
Past Recipients: A list of past recipients can be found here. This includes a summary of their projects and the outcomes achieved.
