Calvin E. Bright Success Center
Leilani Kupo serves as the Director of the Calvin E. Bright Success Center. She joined the UC Merced community in June, 2016. Leilani received a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in English from Ripon College (WI), her master’s in Counseling Psychology- College Student Personnel from James Madison University (VA), and her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Bowling Green State University (OH).
She has worked in student affairs for over 15 years. With a background in equity, social justice, and empowerment programs, her work focuses on issues including educational attainment and improving equity and access for historically marginalized populations on college campuses.
